There
has been substantial interest in purchasing a rack that residents may use to
store canoes, kayaks, or paddle boards.
The rack will be placed in the beach area and is intended for the
exclusive and sole use of community members and their guests.
Each
space will be issued on a first-come first-served basis, with an initial limit
of one space per property.
Each person who utilizes the rack will be expected to secure their
property with their own lock and fully assume the dangers, responsibility, and
risks that may be involved. CRBCA will
not monitor the stored property or the rack, nor will CRBCA be responsible to
any community member who suffers any damage, loss, or injury because of the use
of the rack, including but not limited to any personal injury or property
damage.
Each
person who utilizes the rack will be required to execute an agreement and
waiver, at which time CRBCA will furnish a decal that must be placed on the
stored property. To the extent that it
becomes necessary, CRBCA will devise a “wait list” policy and explore the
possibility of purchasing additional racks.
There will be an annual
charge in the amount of $50.00 per space.

IMPORTANT:
Kayak and SUP owners:
The US Coast Guard suggests labeling your kayak with either a sticker or even permanent marker. If they find an unmanned kayak or canoe adrift without a person in it, the US Coast Guard treats it like an active search and rescue case.
If you label your kayak with two contact numbers, it will allow first responders to reach out before a potentially costly search begins, and they can try to get your property back to you!
When you ID your kayak, they recommend you do so on the inside near your seat, or in an area that won't be rubbed frequently.
